As far as downloading movies you really dont want to, just use websites that have them streaming such as:

http://www.joox.net
http://www.vidics.com
http://sstreaming.com

As far as files go you should use torrents but there are others you can go to. Such as:

http://www.sswarez.com (Requires that you sign up to the forum to download or even see what they have)
