if she's in any of your classes, say "hey, did we have any homework for ..." or "did you understand the lesson on..." and ask her for help or something.
or you could just say hey, honestly, im a girl and whenever someone i don't really know says hey, i assume they are a nice person and reply back Smile good luck!
