Hi X,
My name is Brad and I work for InMotion Hosting. I think Gardner is on the right track on choosing which host best suites your needs. Which host to choose is not always going to be the same for each person, because everyone has different requirements. If your Facebook app turns out to be intensive on the server, keep in mind that we do offer VPS and Dedicated hosting as well, so you can upgrade at any time if needed. Some people find that calling the support team and asking a few questions before they sign up is helpful in choosing a host. For example, call InMotion Hosting / Godaddy / and a few other companies. Keep track of how long the hold time is on the phone, how friendly / professional they were, and what kind of technical info they provide. @elizabethramer I take offese to your spam comment! I hope it doesn't seem that InMotion Hosting is "spamming" yahoo answers. We're in the hosting industry, and as such, when hosting related questions are asked we chime in where we can. We have lots of online documentation, and when we think it will be useful, we offer a link to users. I actually manage the team that posts a lot in Yahoo answers, so if you see anything that looks very spammy, please let me know and I'm happy to review the question and answer. Thanks, -Brad |
