I have a youtube channel as well but has not been up very long (or I should say have not been posting videos for very long). Couple of things that I would suggest;

- make sure to use tags when posting videos
- send friend requests
- post on similar channels that are popular and ask to check out your channel
- remind your viewers to rate, subscribe etc.
- it also depends on the content... don't use just music as a lot of people do... try and communicate with your viewers, talk to them and build a rapport...
