Why is my Android updating apps by itself?

nno...i...dont think apps are just supposed to update themselves...
If these are the default programs that came with your LG Optimus and is updating themselves, then you most probably need those updates...
But if you like, not want to update, cant you just turn off the net when you dont need it, And then set the setting like 'ask for permission' or something? That way it'll ask when it wants to update and you can ignore it then. Or are these programs like, accessable? Then perhaps they have a setting where you can disable auto-update from... That way you can keep your net online for email or facebook purpose all the time without hampering updates...
Or if that doesnt work, no clue... Hope this answer is helpful though
