will McCain discuss tonight his plan for moving social security retirement to the stock market?

Since that wasn't actually his plan, then of course he won't discuss it.

If you want to talk about his plan honestly, then you might wish to learn that it is completely voluntary, that you would then only be able to invest a portion of your Social Security into the market.

Perhaps you might also care to know that in any given 10 year period, including ones with the stock market crash, you'd still have more returns from investing in a stock market fund than you'd have from Social security.

And if it was privatized, if you died, your family would get the money. With social security, it goes back to the government, with reduced payouts to surviving spouses.

I would rather be in control of that money, than have the government control it, misuse it, misspend it, and play games with it, and delay when I can get it back.
