How to stop facebook sending messages to my e-mail in box?

1. Click on Gear at top right corner in Facebook and choose Account settings from that.
2. Now click on Notifications from left side bar.
3. Click on Edit option in front of Email option.
4. Select this option , "Only notifications about your account, security and privacy"
5. Click Close button over there.
