Facebook i tagged myself in a photo and it says request sent but i didnt get a notification?

If you taggedd yourself in your own photo ,you will not get any notifications.
However if you have tagged yourself on someone else's photo, first they need to approve your 'tag request' and only after that you will get a notification saying "Your tag request has been approved by ..... "
