Are there lots of fake celebs on facebook?

Celebs do not have normal profiles online. They have a Fane pag you can Like but that does not accept Friend requests

If they do have a profile, it's always under a fake name and they never accept anyone but friends and family. A friend of mine is an actor, now director and producer - not super famous but he did star in a TV series that ran for 2 seasons and has done a number of films. He has two pages - his Writer/Director fan page that you can like and where he posts his upcoming projects, press interviews, etc. And his Facebook profile that uses a fake name (his mother's maiden name) and his profile picture is his Golden Retriever. His fan page has over 5000 likes. His real profile page has only 300 friends, and they are all people he personally knows and wants to keep in touch with. That's where he posts pictures of himself and his fiancee, pictures with friends, pictures of his house, etc.

Another friend is in a band that is well known in Australia. She also has two pages - her fan page for her music that anyone can Like. And her personal page that is also under a fake name (she uses her birth father's surname instead of her adopted father) and again she only accepts people she knows on that page and posts personal things there
