open group can be seen by all the people who have an account on fb. Closed group means that the group will be visible to all but its contents will be only visible to the members of the group. Secret group means that only the memvers can see and access it. Anyone else cannot find it in a search or request to join it until someone from the group adds you in the group. For more information, go to the option create group in facebook.
