Most fake accounts use google images, one way you could find out is by searching what you see in the picture, e.g. if there was a girl who looked quite gothic, you could search up gothic girl and the picture would probably pop up (most fake accounts use a picture from the first few pages of images from what they search).
Another way is you could probably just ask them if they have a skype or something and say you want to video chat with them because you want to talk to them directly.
