Boyfriend looking at ex-gf's facebook?

For the last few days, and I only know this because I was looking in my history for a link of a recipe that i found a few days ago, my boyfriend, who i've dated for four years, has looked on his ex's (they dated for six months) profile and all of her pictures. The last three days he's done this.. and it's really bothering me. All he has been doing is looking at her profile, and then looking at the pictures. What does this mean? I've been completely hurt about this, feeling as though he wants her back, but I can't confront him or he'll be extremely angry. I've been crying now for the last hour trying to figure this out.. Help!
