What is the point of deactivating facebook?

There are so many reasons to deactivate a Facebook account. One of the obvious reason is hiding. By deactivating your account, your account can no longer be seen or searched by anybody in the internet. This will come in handy if your account is full of immature crap and you're looking for a job. It's handy because employers tend to look into the online lives of their applicants and facebook is most likely the 2nd thing they'd search for about you(next to actually just Googling you). Logging out would be a very different case because your account would still be visible. Hope this helps
