1) Change your password immediately. Go directly to http://www.facebook.com to change it. Anywhere else could be a hack. Type the URL directly into your browser.
2) Block the user and they won't even be able to see that you exist on Facebook. 3) The police? I doubt they'll be able to do anything until something bad actually happens. So far, it sounds like a war of words. All over the country, the police are just starting to become savvy enough to deal with these kinds of problems. Having their IP address is only valuable if you can actually convert it to a person's address. And getting that information can be nearly impossible. ISPs aren't going to just give up that information, and that's only going to work if the hacker isn't using an anonymous VPN connection designed to hide their actual IP address. Ads |
