It depends on what your goal is.
For my business, I have a blog where I gather opt in information to sell a product. Therefore, site traffic is a key performance indicator for me. Utilizing Facebook to post blogs, videos for SEO, and Twitter as a text message with a link back to the blog has been very effective in generating traffic and leads. Being able to use pay per click on social sites, like Facebook, can yield me a direct positive return, typically a $2.50 to $1 spent return, which is great.
