They can do what President Obama and the Ford Motor Company opted to do. They decided this is the advertising work horse for now and the future. Example President Obama's massive email capture and use to raise over 700 million dollars campaign contributions most ever. That could be used for Mcdonalds email and text to get immediate response and to get customers to take action and to keep taking their pulse. Adoption of the New Media, like Ford had vowed to be the #1 Automobile Company in social media and they made it happen. also use the new Deal day concepts from companies like Groupon and Living Social example: 50% off today on big mac meal where a certain number people have to purchase the deal with their credit cards to make the deal done, win win situation for everyone. The Key is to buy into New Media Marketing, the reason these companies are growing so fast is the the culture has changed, better get on board or be left behind.
