how do I put shortcut for Facebook on my desktop?

Right click on the desktop, hover over "New", in the appearing menu click on "Shortcut".
In the window that appears it'll say "Type the location of the item:", paste your internet shortcut here, then click "next". In this screen you can name the shortcut (so in your case go with something like "Facebook"). Then hit "finish" and you're done!
