how to get people to follow you on twitter if none of your friends use it?

I would favorite A WHOLE bunch of people's stuff, based off of what you search in the "discovery" tab. That's if you only want your followers to look higher than who you are following. A lot of people will just do a F4F, which is Follow 4 Follow. But if you do too much then twitter thinks you are a robot and they will deactivate your account, and you have to reactivate it and twitter will tell you why they did do it, and if you ended up doing it again they would completely suspend it and you would have to create a new account. It isn't easy gaining followers. And you won't gain them fast. But the best way to maintain them and keep them interested is to have a "theme" on your twitter. I have 726 followers and I'm only following 287. I worked probably for days to get that high. So basically, you have to have alot of time on your hands and must have patience.
