WiFi is wireless internet. And he meant that he uses his house internet to go on Facebook that way his cell phone carrier does not charge his for mobile data usage. If you have a smartphone you can use the internet and Facebook for free if you have WiFi (wireless internet) or if you buy a cell phone plan the has mobile data included you can use the internet whenever you have signal.
