How can I get more twitter followers naturally?? PLZ help?

I WOULD NOT do follow trains, or hashtag everything you tweet. That comes off as annoying. I have around 900 followers and am only following about 98 people. There's no point in having followers if they're not active, and they're no point in following people if all they post are follow trains and retweets. No one likes that. Here's what I did. Be relatable. Tweet things that are relatable and funny, witty or interesting. (Do not steal tweets or get quotes off the internet, you'll get called out.) Make friends. @ reply people, be friendly and maybe compliment them. Here's the trick. If you make friends with someone, and have a conversation with them, they will be @ replying you, their followers will see it, and then check you out, if they like your tweets they'll follow. Don't be an ass. No one on twitter likes assholes. If someone asks you for a follow for follow, you can if you would like. But don't @ reply everyone asking them for a f4f because it gets annoying. Be an active user. Tweet regularly. People will follow you all in time!
