Moroccan Man on Facebook..?

I was on Facebook and received a very random friend request from a boy/man from morocco.
I accepted and messaged him saying, "I'm sorry, but do I know you?"

He said:
"i'm sorry for the derangement , but i just like your profiles picture and i wanted to know who's this beautiful person , that bothered you ? ( i'm not verry strong en english ..)"

We had a somewhat long conversation just about general things, he is very sweet. But should I be concerned about anything? He has many moroccan friends/family on Facebook, which makes me believe he is real..but he is on the other side of the globe. This could be a huge scam. He is very attractive, and out of millions of people in the world, he found a girl in m i n n e s o t a attractive and decided to add her on Facebook? It just doesn't make sense.
