How can I get pinterest and facebook to stop sending me emails?

Both of those sites have settings options that will allow you to reduce or completely turn off email notifications.

In Facebook it is under Account Settings, then Notifications. They have a help page about this here https://www.facebook.com/help/notifications

In Pinterest you'll find it under Email Settings and a helpful person has set up a step-by-step instruction page at http://ginnylee.hubpages.com/hub/Stop-Pinterest-Emails
