It's just there to gather information about you and others.
Nothing you ever put there is actually deleted by them - just hidden from you.
And they love you to sync your devices.
It's like having a whole bunch of people sitting beside you recording everything you do and everything in your computer.
Not quite as bad as Google or Chrome, but close enough.
I've never used it and never will.
