Do you think it is good or bad to not own a facebook account?

First, I think it's unfair of you to say how you "hate" Facebook, yet you don't have an account. How do you know you don't like something unless you try it. If you have tried it, then maybe you didn't have the right group of friends.

Facebook isn't the problem. The problem is some of the people who use it. There are way too many underage kids who use it to talk about how bored they are, or to post ridiculous pictures of themselves (usually selfies posed in a bathroom) making what they think of as funny faces, or update their statuses with nonsense "games" like "Do you think <insert name here> is cute? Repost to everyone with your answer". Facebook has become an Internet day care. It's also become the platform for cyber-bullying.

If you know who your friends are, then there shouldn't be a problem. It's also a good way to keep in touch with old friends who have moved away or relatives who live in other states or countries. It's a great way to share your thoughts, accomplishments and pictures.

Another issue is those who post way too much information. That's where privacy risks come into play. With anything, Facebook has to be used responsibly.
