Can anyone explain me, how to use Twitter?

It is a system that is designed to work with phones as well as web based and it simply asks a single question "What are you doing"? You have to answer it in 140 characters or less as it was designed to use SMS on standard (not smart) phones.

This is typical of some "tweets".

I am changing the baby's nappy.

I am squeezing blackheads.

I am on the toilet.

I am watching TV.

.....

It was designed to allow your friends to know where you were and what you were doing but it has turned into a contest to see who can collect the highest number of groups. It is a bit like Yahoo Answers - anyone can get an answer from Wikipedia or Google but they prefer to come here to ask people who have no credibility or experience. No really good logical reason, but they do it.


Twitter is a micro-blogging website, it is based on a simple concept of giving updates to your friends(known as followers) as you live your day.

What is really meant was giving an update to 'whats up?' from your end. Whenever you update your twitter status, it shows up on the status pages of your friends.

By using twitter you could keep people in loop of what you are doing at different times of the day, or share information about websites and stuff with them.

Twitter can be updated online or via telephone SMSes.
