Hi
Yeah the "@" symbol is for when you want to direct (also known as DM) a message at someone like one of your friends or a celebrity. A "hashtag" is what is currently trending on Twitter this means if a singer is going to release a new song they might put a "#" then the name of their single and people will Tweet saying they can't wait for it continuing the hashtag so it become a trend. You can hashtag everything though and if someone is bored and searches "#lol" then whoever has tweeted that at one point their tweet turns up. Hope this explains a little clearly. |
