facebook help, should i add this person ?

i am a sophomore in highschool and this girl that i have a crush on is a freshman. I have never talked to her in person , but i think she is very pretty and i really want to know her. Everytime i try to talk to her i get cckblocked by friends, or she is with her mob of friends. Should i add her on facebook, like some of the stuff she posts, then PM her eventually ? Idk if its weird to PM her or not because i dont know her at all... I NEED HELP
edit : my friends are her friends on facebook too. she has 3k friends and i only have like 200 lol... she also has her phone # on her page for any 1 to take when you add her lol. not saying im going to text her right when i add her im just saying
