You don't say how long you have been working since your diploma. If it is more than 2 years I would say it is time to find a new job. If you are recently qualified then you really need to get at least 18 months of good experience.

Have you been in your job for at least 6 months? If so then talk to your manager and ask if there is any chance of a raise. If they say no then you haven't lost anything, but they might just say yes if you are any good!

If you really hate your current position then do try and find another job, but be aware that if you jump from one job to another frequently then it doesn't look very good when you are trying to get future jobs.

Once you have at LEAST 12 months and preferably 18 months or more of solid experience you will be in a better position to get another job that pays better. You should try to get your second job by the time you have got 2 years of experience.

Unfortunately the best way of getting pay rises is by changing jobs. Companies rarely have the foresight to give good pay rises to newly qualified people. You may find that you get a better offer from your current employer if you do get another job offer, but most people don't stay once they have gone to the effort of finding another job.

My first job pay sucked, but after 18 months I was able to jump to a much better position - and then again about 2 years later. Future employers won't care as much about your qualifications as they do care about your experience. If your current job gives you good work experience then it is worth it for your future jobs.

One more thing - don't just quit. It is much easier to get another job while you are still working than trying to get one when you are unemployed because you just quit!
