Can I track down What the location is of a message sent to me on facebook?

IP addresses can be faked, even with email - so in the larger picture, you cannot depend on it being real

even a professional wont be able to look up the culprit, only the police can, and they wont get involved unless a serious crime has been committed

and even if they dont fake their IP address, the IP address you get is only the IP of their service provider, which only gives you the general location where they sent the message from, it does not identify their actual computer or give you their home address
