If the computer is running, power down. Power up the computer and immediately begin tapping the F8 key to invoke the advanced options menu. If some other menu appears, repeat this step but use the F5 key instead.
Use the arrow keys to select Safe Mode With Command Prompt, then press Enter. Log on to an account with administrator's rights. When the command prompt opens, type   RSTRUI.EXE and press Enter. If you get a "not recognized" error, type   %WinDir%\System32\Restore\RSTRUI.EXE and press Enter/ When System Restore opens, Select the restore feature. Depending on the version of Windows, you may need to click "Show other restore points". Choose a restore point timestamped one day prior to the malware appearing. If the problem persists after the computer restarts, repeat the procedure but choose a restore point two days old. |
