Yes! I prefer Facebook, as you can post "status updates", post photos and pictures of things, and "share" them all with your "Facebook friends". Be careful with how many friends you add, there are some trolls out there. To start with, add your friends you know in person, then they can help you get to know Facebook and how to use it. On Facebook you can "like" "pages", example if you like McDonalds you click on "like" then statuses from McDonalds will appear on your "timeline". For Twitter, I have an account, but personally find it very boring. Try also making an account with Flickr. It's a social network about sharing photos. Hope I helped.
