How to take proffesional looking photos of yourself on an iPhone 4S with broken flash?

Don't use flash so often.... It makes the photo look unrealistic most of the time. Natural light is my favorite, so near windows is good. There are a lot of apps that have cool filters that make the pictures from an Iphone look better, because face it, they don't exactly take the best quality photos. Take time to set up the scene; watch the borders of your pictures for objects that are distracting, and same with the backround. Often when it comes to backrounds, simpler is better. If you're outside, make sure the horizen is straight. There's alot to remember when you're taking pictures, but overall make sure there's nothing distracting in the backround.
