Should I just ask her out?

So I'm 14, 15 soon and I like this girl. She is beautiful smart and is nice(not a lot of people are these days) and then there is me. I'm smart, not to good looking. I play video games and am terrible at all sports but snowboarding. Anyways back on topic. So I like her but I don't know her too well, I've been rejected so many times that I'm afraid to try. Shit blows up when someone does something like this and I'm shy. Should I just ask her out? I'm attract of scaring her away and makin her hate me. I'm friends with her on Facebook and talked to her once, is it with it just to ask her out?
