It's either a complex or a series of complexes (which is very, very likely, in my opinion), or it's some form of autism (for the disregard of norms), or... I'm going to let you read this article. http://psychcentral.com/blog/archives/20...-disorder/

I know someone who is loud and disregards social norms and generally offends people by being mean, as you described your friend, or by being obnoxious. I know she has ADD and depression. Maybe that is what your friend is suffering from.
