Can Someone Explain to me Why Republicans Support Corporate Welfare But Oppose Social Welfare Programs?

a lot of the Republican beliefs are contradictory. They are a paradoxal people.

here is another example... they oppose both abortion and social welfare. they ask why should my takes pay for your baby, when you can't afford it. they tell poor people that if they can't afford the baby, not to have the baby.... but don't have an abortion, because abortion is terrible.

you know, Abe Lincoln was a republican. He led the North to free the slaves. Republicans, with George in the white house, have made this welfare reform law that forces welfare recipients to work 20 hour weeks to get a 300 dollar monthly welfare check. That is well below minimum wage, it is slave labor.

While I agree that people should work if they can, and I do not want anybody to be a 'dead beat'... slave labor is just WRONG.
