Psych majors: what kind of personality makes up about you and pretends they're your best friend?

Sounds like a Narcissistic Personality Disorder. Their self-esteem is fragile. They are more concerned with how they are seen by others than making close friendships. They rationalize their irresponsible behavior and will blame others for their mistakes. Outright lying is common.

--- They are grandiose, tend to exaggerate and are preoccupied with fantasies, and making stuff up to give themselves a sense of self-importance.
---- They are indifferent to criticism from others and will calmly deny that they did, or said anything wrong.
---They crave constant attention and are prone to fits of anger for perceived attacks on them.

---They take advantage of others to indulge their own self-aggrandizement and have discard for the personal integrity and rights of others. They lack empathy for others and don't care how they have made you feel.

---They have a chronic intense envy of others and then often fake their feelings to impress others.
