The first answer is incorrect. The Facebook app is no longer compatible with that version of iOS (it requires iOS 6 or later). I would recommend updating your OS, but if you refuse to do this you will need to visit the mobile web version through Safari. You can save the website to your springboard and fake it as an app if that helps. Do that through Safari.
