Does He Like Me Back?

I have liked this guy for a while now. About a month ago one of his best friends said that the guy I liked had a crush on me. I don't think he is very trustworthy and I'm not so sure he is telling the truth. I guy I like never talks to me. He used to stare at me but he stopped all if a sudden his friend told me. He has no problem talking to other girls. He seems to almost like, avoid me. He is in the same home room as me. One time he came up to my locker and looked at me for a few seconds but then he talked to this one guy next to my locker, so I'm not sure if he came to talk to me and got embarrassed or something. Or if he was going to really actually talk to that person. I used to be in the same class as him in elementary school but I don't think he might of liked me back then. I feel like now it could actually be a possibility. I am too shy and scared to go talk to him about it.
