Should schools fail students based on their popularity rather than grades?

I have never met someone who feels this way o.o
If you are an A student, then you're going to graduate and get a heaps good job in the future.
Besides, if you're unpopular now in your school, you'll be famous around the world if you do something that requires your knowledge, like inventing something or getting a cure for cancer or something.
I'm not popular and I still can follow fads and trends.
That straight D student may be more confident then you, but he's also more stupid. Sure, he'll get a job. A lousy job. (No offense to people who has gotten a D)
