What you are asking us to help you do makes no sense. This person was brought to your home by a mutual friend, so why not just tell the friend what happened, what you suspect and have that friend ask this person what's going on? This way, you are staying well within the legal limits.

But, now you know not to let strangers wander around your house when no one is around.
