you have the iPod 1st gen, which the highest firmware is 3.1.3, currently facebook app is requiring 4.xx firmware to be installed on any idevices.

if you iPod is jailbroken search through installus to find facebook app which is for 3.xx firmware is cannot be found or not jailbroken then your screwed.
