Ex-friend keeps facebook stalking me?

My childhood friend and I recently had a falling out. We'd been drifting apart for a long time because more and more I couldn't overlook certain personality and character flaws.

I recently left for college, hoping that I could simply let us drift apart quietly. Ignoring all of my cues, she posted on my facebook wall so many times that I finally was forced to explain to her that I wanted the friendship to end. After an angry conversation, I set her a long email that both celebrated our friendship, and let her know that we weren't going to be friends anymore.

She begrudgingly replied, and said, "Just promise me one thing- let me stay your facebook friend so I can keep track of where you're going in life."

This creeped me out a bit, because although I was intending to remain facebook friends with her in the first place, the remark seems a little stalkerish to me.

Now, the friend posts on all of my major pictures and statues, and occasionally sends me a message saying how much she misses me, or to wish me a good day.

Honestly... it's creepy. I don't want to cut her off, but it makes me uncomfortable to know that she's still watching my every move.

What should I do?
