I too am from Manchester and there are some really rough areas and I can imagine that going to school in such places can be a nightmare.

The best thing I can tell you is that there is life after High School. Life gets immensely better after High School in fact. If you can get your head down, get good grades and just get through school then things will be great afterwards. I hated High School myself because I was bullied so much, and would never repeat High School, not for a billion pounds.
