Why was he doing this?

So there's this boy I sit next to in one of my class periods. We talk quite a bit in class and tease each other. He's a bit of a flirt. We talk outside of school on social media.
Sometimes he'll touch me. He'll tickle my thighs and flick me or touch my arms. There was this one moment that really has me thinking a lot. One day in class he tried to hold my hand and when I looked at him he took his hand away and said "I'm just kidding I'd never want to hold your hand!!" and started laughing I laughed back. Then he did it again and actually held it for like 5 seconds and then he said "I'm kidding!!! Do you really think Id hold your hand?!?" and then we both laughed and then smiled. Then he was finger walking toward my hand.Do you think he really wanted to hold my hand? Do you think this boy likes me? Just wondering!
