Do not talk to the police; do not answer the door if they call. Let them write to you. Act as if it never happened. It is up to the person concerned to bring charges - don't make it easy for them; and should you ever be arrested say nothing until you've had the opportunity to talk to a brief (solicitor); everybody nowadays thinks they are being harassed. Facebook is stupid and attracts stupid people. Stay away from social media if you want to be yourself and express your views. You've learnt your lesson already.
