I cannot download the Facebook app on my itouch?

Just like Computers use Operating System ( It is one which communicates between hardware and software ), even iTouch, iPhone, etc have Operating Systems. They have different versions like iOS 4, iOS 5 etc. My touch screen mobile has Android 4.1 as it's OS. In your case, you need to upgrade to iOS5. You are using an older version of iOS which is not compatible with Facebook App. Just google on how to upgrade to iOS 5, and you will get many websites. Just follow the steps in the websites and try again. It will work for sure.
