are teachers allowed to make fake profiles on facebook?

Those profiles could belong to anyone. The primary rule on facebook is do not add anyone...no matter who they say they are or know...unless you know them personally and in your real life, not just online life (and yes, there is a difference!). Even if these people say that they belong to your school or are a relative or friend of one of your friends, say no and block them.

And yes, teachers are allowed to friend you and if you admit to any criminal activity, you could get in trouble with both the school and the law. If you are dumb enough to do something stupid (smoke or use drugs, drink alcohol, have underage sex), don't let any pictures be taken of it and do not admit to it publicly...not even to any of your so-called friends. And that is because what are "today's friends" are possibly "tomorrow's enemies". And what they don't know about you and your personal life can't be spread all over the internet. Good luck and God bless.
