should i facebook message him now or later?

This guy told my friends that I was cute.

And last month at a friend's kickback, we officially met.

All of my friends said he's really shy. So I didn't really get to talk to him much (I had to be the one to go up to him)

So it's been a month and I still like him...

Should i facebook message him? What should i say without being too pushy? I feel like he knows that I think he's cute too because I feel like my friends told him.

But he goes to a school 300 miles away...and we can only see during break. But he did told my friend that he couldn't wait to see me during summer haha

Should i message him tonight or when spring or summer break is about to start?
