I know you don't like the idea but half-leasing your horse may be a good idea. You don't need to lease him to a random rider. A lot of owners who lease their horses are picky about who is the one riding. You will have complete control over who rides your horse. Plus, as the half-leaser you can choose the days when you want to ride him.
