Is social media and technology ruining society?

It's purely the person himself/herself that can't handle it, they feel and urge to be connected 24/7, it's like a drug addiction. If you try to get them off their phones, they will get angry quickly, it's a new type of addiction I read about in a health magazine. More and more office workers and young people get addicted to their phone, but don't realise this and will look for excuses. Just try to tell them what they're doing and maybe help em get off the phone once a while
